Principal’s Message August 2014
Dear Parents and/or Guardians
The 2014-15 school year is upon us and I’m looking forward to a great year. The staff and I are working tirelessly to assure that all of our students have a productive and successful school year.
I want to welcome our new staff members as well as our new families that will be joining the Brentano community.
Academic rigor across the curriculum will continue to be a main goal at Brentano. Our science instruction will continue to be a high priority and includes hands-on opportunities.
Our goal at Brentano is to provide ample opportunities that promote and encourage students to explore and foster their hidden talents and hobbies. By having a wide range of extracurricular and academic choices we are able to make learning exciting and productive for all our students.
Last year our students participated in Drama Club, Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Fitness, Computer Club, Book Club, Art Club, Newspaper Club, High School Preparation Club and Girls Mentoring Club. All these programs provide additional resources and avenues for our students that support and encourage healthy relationships.
Our staff and I are committed to provide a rich learning experience for our students. I ask that you continue to support Brentano as we move toward our goal of academic excellence.
We believe that by working cooperatively with teachers, parents and the LSC we can achieve our goals. We invite you to be a part of our school by volunteering, helping with fund-raising activities or joining us during our LSC meetings. It is a pleasure to serve you and your children.
