School tours
We offer tours of our school once a month, usually on the last Thursday of the month at 9:00 am. Email Principal Lavin at SLavin@cps.edu.
For the 2026-7 school year, tours will be:
- Thursday, September 24 at 9 am
- Thursday, October 29 at 9 am
- Thursday, November 19 at 9 am
- Thursday, December 17 at 9 am
- Thursday, January 28 at 9 am
- Thursday, February 25 at 9 am
- Thursday, March 18 at 9 am
- Thursday, April 29 at 9 am
- Thursday, May 27 at 9 am
Kindergarten through 8th grade enrollment
Brentano is a neighborhood magnet cluster school. All families living within our attendance boundaries may enroll immediately at any grade level K-8. See the Chicago Public School's Map for more details.

Families living outside our attendance area can enroll by applying to Brentano through CPS’ GoCPS process at go.cps.edu. Out-of-cycle enrollment may be possible depending on available space. Please call (773) 534-4100 to learn more.

Prekindergarten enrollment
To enroll in Prekindergarten, all families apply through the Chicago Early Learning page at chicagoearlylearning.org in the spring. Out of cycle enrollment may be possible depending on available space. Please call (773) 534-4100 to learn more.
